One last thing I would add would be in the health issues about impaction. Oh, yes I would also add a little info on brumation. The impaction and brumation are two subjects that many people don't know about.

Another thing I never knew about (or thought about rather) is that females will lay eggs sometimes whether they've even SEEN a male or not. haha.
I think that laying eggs should be added too. Thankfully I read about all this before I got my female. But had my petco dragon been a female and she started laying eggs, I wouldn't have had anything for her to lay in nor would i be supplementing with extra calcium.

Maybe they should just add beardeddragon.org as a reference. haha.

When I am working and hand out caresheets, or even sometimes when I don't, this place is always a reference! It's the first thing that comes out of my mouth. A customer will ask what all is needed in taking care of a beardie, and I will be like, "First beardeddragon.org!!" LOL I get some wierd looks =)

me too. that and i tell them that they should buy supplies from petmountain.com cause they are a hell of a lot cheaper. haha. i'm a bad money maker for them. haha

This is great news!! Unfortunately I only have vet records on Petsmart regarding the Yellow Fungus. I did sign this petition a few months back though because I have seen the beardie conditions at Petsmart. One thing - are they moving out the meal worms yet? I can't stand seeing them feed baby beardies a dish full of meal worms =(

Yes it is mandatory that they have a bowl of mealworms at all times. For me, personally, I don't really have a problem with this - at least the thought behinde it - always wanting them to have a food source. But, what I don't like about it is that they don't gut load them. I mentioned this once to my manager hinting that we should start and that it wold be really simple - just take out the saw dust and replace it with fish food. She had no idea what gut load even was!

Idk - I just don't think baby beardies should be having mealworms because there is a lot of shell which can cause impaction. Are the crickets gutloaded?

Glad to see that some things are changing. On an offtopic note, is there a possibility of another petition to be started for petsmart? I work for them and it is driving me nuts seeing all the baby beardies we get in dying. The specialty manager cant understand how they do so well in the intake and sick rooms with a real uvb light and heat lamp and then go down hill as soon as they go out on the floor in the display tanks. Every time I hold one they are so cold The tops of the cages are opaque, doubt much light and heat gets through them.

Yes we can see what we can do on that point as well but I will have to do a little deeper homework on the exact set up they have or having the inside track you could start one

I work at Petsmart too and would be VERY happy to help.
I've been harping on my manager for UVB and more crickets, for a while.

I bought one from my own store, and as of the last two weeks, she has been eating very poorly.
For the first three weeks she seemed perfectly healthy; I feel like this came out of nowhere and I don't know if/what I am doing wrong.
(She does have a vet appointment scheduled by the way.)

I don't know, if Little Miss Lennon doesn't make it through whatever this is, I don't think I will try to get another beardie.
From my store, or from anywhere.
Hopefully I will be able to just interact with my boyfriend's and be satisfied.
But my store will get such a bitching.
I have already complained about the reptile habitat to my manager, many times.
If my own pet dies and it has anything to do with her previous ****ty living conditions- ooh!
