You have a compact/coil Reptiglo light, correct?
You will need a long fluorescent tube bulb instead. The compact/coil lights are not very good & don't emit the proper UVB wavelength. We recommend either the Reptisun 10 tube or the Arcadia D3 12% tube.
For a basking light, you will need a bright white basking light but not a red or infrared light. It isn't bright enough to protect the eyes against the
UVB light. For nighttime heating, you shouldn't need any heating unless your house falls below 65 or so. It is ok to use a ceramic heat emitter at night. A black light is ok, but be sure his head is covered so it doesn't disturb his sleep.
