Need help converting!

So the new tank for zilla (which needs to be prepped and cleaned) is 5ft long,18inch wide and 2ft tall (60x18x24) which works out to hold 354 litres, which is 77 almost 78 gallons?correct?that seems like a very large tank considering i got it for $50,it is an old display case which weighs a lottttttt.

it says its 112 gallons!that seems huge...do you think that would be too big for one beardie?

In my opinion, the bigger enclosure you can afford, the better. My boy is in a 6footx2footx2foot viv that he moved into at the beginning of November and he seems to love it more than the smaller enclosure I had him in! Just the same with any enclosure you have to make sure that your temperatures and lighting are spot on.

hmm okay well once i clean up the new tank,im going to see about getting a UVB tube the runs the whole length (i know its bad that i have a coil ) but other than the basking spot the rest of the tank will be like 70-80 is that okay?

When you purchase your UVB tube, please get either a REPTISUN (NOT Reptiglo) or an Arcadia D3 12%. These are the only reliable UVB tubes at the moment. Too many problems with Reptiglo.

reptisun got it thanks,because i know theres a lot of controversy over the right UVB bulbs/tubes.

You can get a 48inch Reptisun tubes so there's adequate UVB throughout the length of the cage.

A 48" fixture and tube will be sufficient. Recommend you read the articles on lighting. The UVB tube only needs to cover approx two thirds of the enclosure. In Komodo's 6foot enclosure, I have a 48" fixture and 48" Arcadia D3 12% tube.

yeah but the tube holding thing is built into the 5ft enclosure and its prob just under 5ft maybe? thats my only conern,ill measure it when i get there.
