Need Help and Some Advice Fast!

Hey guys. Christmas time just rolled around and i got a ton of Petsmart Cards. I decided it was time to reward my 5-6 month old girld ive had since she was a baby and went and got her a plethera of new items for her tank (New huge basking rocks and cavs, new tree to climb on, new background, new decor). All of a sudden, she stopped eating and stopped pooping and has been notably not herself. I know that this is probably due to the sudden habitat change and I shouldnt stress, but of course I am. Any advice/reassurance would be great. Thanks!

I'm sure it's nothing to be majorly concerned about, but it's always good to show concern. It's better to be careful than be sorry!

Since she's not pooping, feel around her stomach for any hard, irregular lumps. What was her poop like the last time you saw it? I suggest feeding her some baby food that has no artificial flavourings or preservatives to help her go and keep her strength up. You may want to soak her in a warm bath and massage her belly to encourage her to poop.

She has just overcome her parasites that she was dealing with and her poops are back to normal now. She has textbook poops, no smell. Theres no way she has any soer of parasite because she just got done with 2 seperate doses or two antibiotics so im not concerned about that

On top of that, i just went out this morning and bought PAR38 90 watt flood lights for her basking to make sure she is warm enough. So everything is in order, and with the coinciding time of a virtually brand new viv, im assuming shes just getting used to it all. I hope!

Hi Dylan....yes, you answered your own question as to why the behavior change. You meant to give her viv a posh new look and she is like " Where am I ? This place is strange !! What happened ? !! :lol: So she'll get through this " relocation " stress. If she's a big girl she might hold out for a while and may even hide. At the moment she is not appreciating her surprise home makeover.

Hahaha that made me laugh. Good news! Got her to eat a worm and she pooped right after! She seems in good spirits as of now and is basking the day away and keeps dosing off. Shes lovinf the heat. Thanks for you replies guys
