NEED ANTIBIOTIC HELP

My beardie draya was diagnosed with a respiratory infection 5 days ago, she wasn’t bad sick but I could here noises when she opened her mouth and she was breathing way harder than she ever has so I took her to my vet (who doesn’t know hardly anything about reptiles) but she’s the only one around here. She put her on enrofloxacin and her dosage was .15 once a day for 5 days. Today was her last dose and she seems to not be breathing as hard but I can still hear noises coming from her throat and is still gaping quite a bit. I went back and got another 5 days worth but started to second guess myself on it she needs any more than what she’s gotten. Please help idk what to do I just want my baby healthy again

I am sorry your dragon has had some trouble. The antibiotics are
so hard on them. The Enroflaxin/Baytril is the most commonly used
medication for a respiratory infection. I highly recommend using
some type of probiotic to help restore the gut flora. You can get
some non dairy soy yogurt or non dairy acidophilus to give to her to
help with her GI tract & immune system.
Are you finished with the meds? How much does she weigh & do you know
the strength of the solution, I can double check the dose for you also.

The doctor originally gave me 5 days worth but I got more just in case 5 days wasn’t enough. They didn’t tell me how much she weighs but her dosage is 0.06 cc once a day. She has seemed to have gotten better but I think the antibiotics have started to take a toll on her. She went to sleep at 7:30 last night which is 30 minuets earlier than she’s ever gone to bed and slept in. I let her sleep because I figured it was the medicine and her not feeling good wearing her out

Ok, well as long as the Baytril was warranted, that is fine. It most likely has worn her out so
letting her sleep extra is perfectly fine, she needed some extra rest. At least she does seem
to be getting better slowly!

I’m just scared it’s going to turn into pneumonia, I want to do everything I can to prevent that. She didn’t eat as much as she usually does today but I know that medicine can make them lose their appetite a little so I’m not freaking about that and she went to the bathroom like she usually does. I might just be overreacting but I hate that she’s sick. She’s my first pet I’ve ever owned and taken care of her by myself and I love it but I want to be the best beardie mom I can be

How is your baby today
The meds definitely cut into their appetites most of the time. Just try to keep her as hydrated
as you can, along with maintaining her overnight temps in her tank, around 80 for immune
system help.
Is her beard normal colored or black?
I hope she starts feeling better soon. Keep us updated on her.
