Hey guys, my family is going on to see some family in New York for a week. I would like to take him with us, but I'm not sure any of the hotels will let us. I live in Carlisle, Pa and was wondering if someone on this website might be up for it or knew a reliable place to take him to. The only person I feel comfortable leaving him with is about 8 months pregnant so she is out of the picture. So anyone who knows someone or would be willing would be a great help. I would pay for food, lodging, time etc. I just really want to make sure he goes somewhere good because if any thing were to happen to him, I honestly wouldn't know what to do with myself. I am willing to drive a fair distance as well as long as I know he will be well taken care of. I'm not entirely comfortable leaving him with my vets office. They are nice, but the average worker there probably only sees a bearded dragon when I bring him in. So any advice would be most welcome!

Is there someone locally you can trust with a house key? I have a friend who comes in, feeds her, mists her, takes her out for a little running around and then back again. She also texts me the happenings of her visit. We will never forget the Great Veggie Fling of 2009. I didnt warn her about the temper tantrums :)

I'm not to familiar with anyone in the area that does it, and the ones that do don't seem to know anything about bearded dragons.
Kcarello, life just isn't fair that way! I would definitely return the favor! Someone on here must be close by, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I hope you find someone close by!!! You could ask the hotels you are looking into if they accept pets. I always travel with my two mini dachshunds and never have any problems finding a hotel that accepts pets, and hey, a pet is a pet!!

We called the hotel, they take dogs up to 50 pounds but not my bearded dragon. I'm sensing some pet discrimination here...Its just like when I walk into the vets office, dog, dog, more dogs, occasional cat....I walk in with my beardie....It all gets quiet. Crazy lizard girl ahoy!

Ah ha!! Don't tell them you have a bearded dragon..just ask if they accept pets!!!
They more than likely won't even see you take your baby in...just do it!!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
