need a new heat lamp - advice?

The heat lamp I have now just won't get Fin's enclosure warm enough. It doesn't even reach 90. I think part of this is due to the top - it's plastic and absorbs a lot of heat. But i'm not sure if I can replace it with a mesh top..anyway, I decided to invest in a new light fixture and see if that hopefully helps. Everything I'm using now came from an 'all living things' starter kit.

go to a hardware store, to the light, or light bulb section

ask that guy he will know what you're talking about and how to help,

PLUS that stuff is usually cheaper

I use a PAR38 halogen flood light which works very well. I use a 90w but the wattage you need will depend on the setup and distance from the basking area.
