We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

So here are a few pics, he's a yellow & dark gray, light gray colour.

Under the communal power sun in the living room:

Discovering there are girls in those tanks up above, he has a great black beard for such a skinny boy:

On the couch, he's got a pretty diamond pattern on his back:

Hope you enjoy
Deb and my six dragons :D      :( :love5:

Well here are the rest of the pics I promised!

Titan showing off the polysporin on the top of his head. It's what the vet recommended to loosen up the gray stuff to shed:

Lonzo relaxing:

Leo: "Whats you wantz" He's on his favourite part of his log

Now he's smiling!

Didi, looking contemplative, wonder what he's thinking about?

This is still my ramp

Rocco:

This one really shows his golden/yellow back & tail, he's so beautiful!

Bunny, in one of her very strange sleeping positions:

Then she moved

I bought a flat of impatients (their favourite flower for eating!) and Rubio jumped right in & starting munching:

"I likez dese flowers, so I eatz dem"

"Whatz down deres?"

Didi just jumped right in:

Titan sniffed at them but didn't know what to make of these strange things

Bought Didi a new climbing log with greenery, he stayed on about a second and ran back to the top of the ramp

Gabriel checking out the flowers, he eventually ate a whole plant!

"Can Ize eatz dese?"

Offering flowers to Leo, he didn't quite know what to make of them:

The whole flat, cost me $12!

Didi's new climbing thing

Titan relaxing after a long day, check out the sexy legs and the rock pillow :D

That's the first pic I saw of Rocco, what kind of gecko is he?

Rocco is a golden gecko & still wild. He'll let me stroke his back on occasion, like when I clean out his tank, but otherwise it's hands off. Isn't his colour beautiful?

And yes, they love the flowers, Gabriel and Rubio normally eat them, which is why I buy a flat every summer, so maybe this year, when I get the balcony cleaned up, will enjoy them, too.

Again, as always, great pics of the whole family!

My girls had the same tree branch. After about a year, all of the little 'branches' started to fall out (from the fatties sitting on them all day long) and the itty bitty 'leaves' were scattered all over the place. I finally got tired of picking up broken branches & leaves and took the darn thing out and put one of their caves back in.

Thanks, glad you liked Bunny's pictures, Lindz, she is a little sweetie!
And the flower pics are my favourites, can't wait until I get the balcony done and they can chomp to their heart's content.

Titan has, for the 2nd day in a row, cleaned out his greens! I have to start adding other things to his dish, he's been eating bok choy and so far loves it, I even caught him eating this am while I was at the computer. He's also going through the roaches I bought him, about 6 a day (they're pretty big) and he's growing. Guess it's time to get a scale soon!

I'm also taking Titan and Leo to the vet on June 1, they called to say the date I'd chosen, June 21, there was no vet to see beardies, so I see my vet on the 1st. I want to make sure that Leo's mouth is getting better and take in a fecal for Titan, as his poops are getting stinkier by the day :puke: I have a feeling that the last fecal was too soon after the Baytril, I'd be surprised if he was still parasite free.

So I've reduced my training to twice a month, that way I can have some extra to live on, I'm tired of being broke all the time and it sure isn't good for the babies. So I'll just have to take myself to the gym on the weekends between the training. It's no the best solution for me, but on the other hand I have a huge car bill coming up, I have to get the struts replaced (well it is a 9 year old car) and should have been done a couple of years ago. Between paying back my mom, paying back the mistake that payroll made, and saving for the car, I had to cut down somewhere. My trainer understood completely and as soon as I've got all this done, I'll be able to get back to every week again (I hope!)

I also got the 5 power suns on credit thru the pet shop, so am keeping an eye on the output on the ones I have, this way I can replace the bad ones right away. So far the output isn't bad, but I'm using my solar metre weekly just to make sure.

Plus it's my dad's 86th birthday tomorrow, I had to wish him a happy birthday today because tomorrow he'll be golfing all morning :D

Now I'm off to bed! I'm so glad it's Friday tomorrow! I get to see my nieces at the stables on Saturday, meet Emily's new horse and then get over to their place to visit.

It's become very annoying, never having any extra & I work full time Liz, and have for 20 years and have nothing to show for it, so it's time to re-do the budget and the training was the only place I could take any $ away. So be it for awhile anyway!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
