We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

So here are a few pics, he's a yellow & dark gray, light gray colour.

Under the communal power sun in the living room:

Discovering there are girls in those tanks up above, he has a great black beard for such a skinny boy:

On the couch, he's got a pretty diamond pattern on his back:

Hope you enjoy

What a beautiful memorial. I'm so sorry Titan passed so soon but he had the best life he possibly could with you :) I'm quite certain no one else could have ever spoiled or cared for him like you did :)

Aww, thanks for checking it, it was very difficult as I had finished it once & my computer froze, so had to start all over again. It brought back so many good memories, made me feel better that I did spoil him rotten & I'm really glad I did.

I did 4 1/2 days at work last week, my shoulder was shrieking by the end of each shift, so it was good to get home. Add the travel time to the 4 hours worked & I leave at 2:30p and get home at 9:30p, so even though it's a 1/2 day, it's still a long day for me. My shoulder is very slowly getting better, but still can't hold it upright, or reach behind me. It's going to take time. I have a return to work meeting on Wed & I know they're going to bug me to add hours, but I'm still going to ask for 4 hours next week and the week after b4 I'll add any more time to my day. If they don't like it, too bad, I've shown my manager how bad it is, so she'll agree with me. Once it's moving better and it's not so painful after typing for 4 hours, I'll know I can add an hour, then another. Once I can get through 6 hours, I can probably get through 8. Oh well, can only do what I can do. I don't want it to freeze on me again.

Otherwise, my energy level is much better, but after working only 4 days last week, and food shopping yesterday afternoon, I was in bed resting from 4p onwards & was asleep by 11p. I have 5 shifts this week, still only 4 hours, so I'll see how it goes. If I have to take Friday off, I will. I also need to see the chiro, there was a huge rain storm yesterday, so couldn't go, so will have to wait until Thursday before work. It's such a huge pain to have a frozen shoulder, but I'll get through it.

I got all my boys & girl bathed and fed today. Rubio in now in full brumation, that patch on his side is so much better, I let him sleep and so is Leo, we'll see how long that lasts. So now I only have 4 to take care of for awhile.

Aww Thanks Tammy, I'm glad I finally got it done and I'm really glad Leo is looking so good, isn't that a great pic of him? He's such a sweetie pie.

So I've had the stomach flu, what a nasty two days & I'm feeling better today but shaky but then I haven't eaten yet either. I always get the flu shot and I was sure glad I did this year as the flu wasn't as bad as it could have been. A good friend called me last night & said a lot of people are sick at work, so it's making the rounds. I'm going to try to eat something & I have a home made pedialyte concoction to sip on all day today. At first I thought the hot/cold was just severe hot flashes, but I guess not. Hopefully, if I can keep food down today, I can go back to work by Thursday. Guess that's how I got the bug, just going back to work last week and being on public transport! At least I fed the boys/girl Sunday am so didn't have to feed them yesterday, they all got their baths & calcium + vit/min, too, so didn't have to do anything yesterday but apologize for feeling rotten!

Rubio decided to wake up yesterday, not sure why, but Leo is still out. Guess Rubio has decided he'd rather be up this winter!

That is a beautiful picture of Leo. He is really growing fast. Rubio is being like Emily. Emily doesn't know if she wants up or down. She is going to sleep about 5:30 pm and crawls under her hammock by 3:30 pm and stays there. Her eyes want to close but she fights it, she will almost go to sleep then pop her head up and shake it then starts to doze again and pops her head up. Its like watching a child fighting sleep. Don't know what she thinks shes' going to miss but nothing goes on in their room lol. She's funny, all she wants to do is stay under her hammock from 3:30 to lights out. I turn them on at 9 am and she does not want to get out of her hammock. My first semi brumation with her I suppose. I miss her when she goes down at 5:30 pm since that's her 2nd time to get out to run for the day.

It's going to happen every winter. The first time I dealt with brumation I freaked out. Sweetie & Lonzo slept for 2 months, I was on here trying to figure out what to do. Now, 5 winters later, I'm still a bit freaky, but I've learned that they have to do what they have to do, so I don't get upset like I used to, but I still worry. Leo's sleeping, but I still check on him every morning & night. Even Gabriel is under the power sun on the ramp, not running around as usual. Pull, Lonzo, Didi and Rubio aren't even moving, but they get baths this am. I'm feeling better, still tummy upset, but keeping down toast so far. If all goes well, will go back to work on Thursday.

Finally keeping food down but still very tired. Not leaving the house yet, lying down a lot. Not going back to work until Monday & hopefully my brother does my brakes on Sat, if it not raining...we'll see.

No honey, I'm diabetic, but I do have stevia sugar, so will try that, just mix it in a bit of water. I also made some homemade pedialyte that helped a lot but ran out of lemon, asked a friend to bring me 2 tomorrow, I'll see if she's able, as I'm not out of the house yet. It took 2 days to drink it all & kept adding water, but it worked. So I want to drink more of it over the next couple of days again: 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 lemon, 1 cups warm water. Mix thoroughly. It really worked, made me feel better as I was getting dehydrated. So I'll try the cinnamon/sugar mix tomorrow, too, as I know cinnamon is great for me. Thanks Tonja.

Mirage is shedding....he seems to be feeling itchy lol. Giving him a bath later today. Can Aloe be used on bearded dragons?
Gus - he’s a rescue!
How much water should I be giving my bearded dragon? He will only drink from a dropper when I drop on his nose and I’m not sure if I should give it to him until he won’t drink anymore? Or should I stop after he’s had a certain amount?
Just want to check that if my beardie is ok I managed to get a video of him yawning today and screenshot him with his mouth open does he have mouth rot??? He is eating and drinking normally btw, the discoloration on his left of the mouth has been there for a month but the discoloration on his right side is new
