Nathaniel, Cierra, Castiel, Freya, Grrl; RIP GABRIEL

We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

I've been very concerned about Bunny because she's got a quiver to her head lately, which I know is lack of calcium. And she won't eat repashy or the phoenix worms. So I decided to try to feed her Repashy from a syringe & oh my, did that work! I think she took in a about .03 ml if not more, which is quite a few licks, so I'm going to give it to her nightly this way, as she licks it up very nicely. She won't eat it from a bottle cap, but I can do this every night, as I'm so used to feeding the dragons from a syringe. I'm a happy mom, now, hopefully this will give her the nutrients she's been missing since I stopped crickets and don't have to go back to those messy things. I'm going to try her on roaches again soon, too.

I'm hoping the feeding of the Repashy for Bunny works well, as I would hate to see her sick. I'll let you know.

Hi Deb, sorry to hear that Bunny has you worried. That's great that she did so well with the syringe feeding of the Repashy. Would you be able to put a couple drops of liquid calcium in it too or is there a lot of calcium already in the Repashy?

Yay, a lot of the black came off of Titan, that's awesome. Must feel better to him too. What an awesome vet you have!

Repashy is a complete food for cresties, calcium, multivits, fruit, protein, you name it. So if I can give it to her daily, she'll get what she needs. I'm so hopeful this will stop the wobbling of her head!

And yes, my vet is awesome, so as long as she's working at the clinic (she owns it) I'll see her before I see her partner.

Guess you can tell I've never had any need for Rapashy as I know nothing about it. Good that it has all she needs, hopefully all those great supplements & nutrients will kick in quick so she stops the wobbling.

I so hope so, I don't want to get any more crickets, ever, if I can help it. The Repashy is supposed to be a complete food for her. I'm hoping she'll eat the phoenix worms, too, but so far not.

You might want to try giving her a couple drops of liquid calcium just to get on top on her lack of calcium. I had to give it to Venus while she was on a hunger strike a while back.

I would say you will see improvement pretty quickly. Good luck!

I would say everyday for 3-4 days and then every other day for a week and then just 3 times a week, just until the head shaking subsides.
