napping after meals?

My 5 month old beardie curls up in the corner of her basking rock every time after he eats. is this normal? he also does it after being out of his tank and running around.


another thing; i gave him some small strawberry pieces and he ate them right up, but on the last piece, he was chewing loudly for like 45 seconds. was it too big? is he gonna be okay? :?

It could just be a full belly causing some sleepiness. A nap shouldn't hurt as long as some time is spent warming up and digesting. Being out of the enclosure can cause them to get cold and make them want to slow down and nap too. Having a portable basking light available can help with this.

A strawberry is a good treat for them. They are relatively soft so shouldn't cause any issues in terms of impaction or digestion. Should get broken down pretty well.
