Nails too short?

My dragon Ike has been on granite tiles for all of his life. Just about three years now. This past winter he did much more "digging" than usual. His nails have always been pretty short from the tile but today I was looking at his back foot and noticed that there is almost no nail. Just tiny nail tips or stubs.

I searched for a while to see if others have asked about this. The small amount of info I did find. People had said the nails were so short they were bleeding. Most of these cases were after switching to tile or adding stone basking spots.

I have never seen any blood and it doesn't seem to bother him as I'm playing with his feet and toes now. Sometimes he slips while climbing but like I said his nails have always been short. Could his quick be very short as well from always being on a rough surface?

I've taken a few pics, these were the best I can do to show how worn down they are. Should this be a concern? If so, I plan to cover the bottom of his enclosure with repti-carpet to slow the wear down and just leave a small 1' x 1' area plus his basking rocks to file his nails.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.

Wow, that's kind of scary :( I have my beardie on slate tiles & it def keeps his nails trim but they are not as short as your beardies. Actually, I've never even see Drago digging. I am not sure how true this may be (as I have a male) but I have heard that females tend to dig alot more, especially if they need to lay eggs. I am about to purchase a female in a couple momths & was going to do her tank in tiles as well but now I am realizing that maybe that is not the best idea. Drago has been on the tiles his entire life but he's only a little over a year old. I do believe that the more u trim the nails, the more the quick/vein in the nail will recede back further. I am not sure If I am saying it correctly but hopefully u know what I mean! lol

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
