I am a little confused on the proper length for a dragon's nails and was wondering if you guys could provide a little help. I know Zeke's nails are too long, but I'm not sure how short to shoot for either. Is there a sort of rule of thumb or at the very least some pictures I can use for refrence?
Also, how would I go about getting his nails to the proper length? I know to trim off the black tip only, but how often do I trim (a rough estimate)? And on many of his nails, when I look at them, I don't really see a black tip to trim off. It is almost like the quick starts right at the edge of the nail. Do I just leave those nails or what?
Lastly, Zeke is about two years of age and has not shed since October. I know adults don't shed often, but shouldn't he have shed by now? The top of his head is dulled in color and has been for the last three months or so, but he isn't shedding. I assume it is nothing to worry about. I'm more curious than anything.
Thanks in advance for any help!
