Nail/Finger tip ripped off

My 4 year old beardie was digging around like crazy in his tank like he usually does when he is going to poop.. I just went to check on him and noticed he was bleeding.. here is a photo
I'm not sure if it is just the nail or not

What can I do ??

Poor dude. He'll be O.K though....if it hasn't stopped bleeding you can dab some cornstarch on it. Otherwise you can put a bit of neosporin [ not the pain relief kind ] or some raw honey [ unpasteurized ] from a health store or beekeeper.

By the way, are you positive he's a male ? Although both genders can go on a digging spree, females will do so if they are looking for a place to lay eggs.

I took him out of the tank and put him in a bath to wash it off

I am assuming I should take the sand out of the corner of his tank .. I have slate tile but he was rather unimpressed when I took the sand out a while back so I keep some in the corner.

Do I dab dry cornstarch? or mixed with water?

I'm fairly certain he is male, I've had him for 4 years , he's got two bulges
