Hi! I’m nacho! I’m about 4 months old. Every morning my mom prepares me these wonderful fresh cut greens with bee pollen and BSFL and every morning I hang on the side of my bowl and watch but never eat! Jokes on mom
Hi, what a cutie. Did you try cutting it up smaller and handfeeding it to him? I know, I know it may spoil him some but it's a baby and it creates bonding
(Just try it every now and again)
I have a silly question. When you say hand feeding do you mean with your fingers or like on a tong? You see I’m still new at owning nacho and I don’t touch him often as I’m still scared. I try to hand feed him some grubs but my hands shake a mile a minute
There is nothing to be afraid of, until they are half to nearly grown they can't bite hard enough to hurt. Even at full grown, their teeth are small and it doesn't really hurt.
They do have boney ridge plates in the center of their mouth/throat, those are sharp and can make a nasty bite, but it's extremely unlikely to get a finger that far into their mouth.
In over 8 years keeping them i only ever had it happen once, and it was just a very food motivated dragon and he let go as soon as he realized he bite me.

They can and will jump, it's best to handle them in their habitat or over a bed, couch, ect, until they calm down some. You have to handle them some to get them used to it though. Jumps from the couch to the floor or a bed to the floor shouldn't be to much for them though, especially if you have carpet. If you have hardwood or tile you could throw a towel or something on the floor just in case.

Excuse the delayed response as I am out of town. Listen to @xp29 he helped me so much.
But go at your own pace. @xp29 will have you thinking that you are invincible and the best beardie parent in the world. Why do you think I share my stories? I am still scared of Rocky!!!
Do you see how @xp29 says, "...it's a boney ridge plate..." Listen, due to him and another member, not only did I feed Rocky, I was cleaning his teeth!
Then I look back like WOW - what did I do! LOL
At the end of the day, you are in charge, are the parent and they won't hurt you. I am THEEEEEEEEEE MOST annoying parent EVER and if Rocky hasn't snapped my head off, you're probably good.
The only bites I ever hear about, including online videos were accidental bites and like @xp29 said, if they realize it, they let go because they thought it was food. They have to be EXTREMELY hungry too.
The first time Rocky crawls around my neck when I laid down, I was paralyzed. I knew my life was coming to an end. He was paying me back for annoying his life. He simply cuddled!
Remember inside I am scared so inside I knew that his tail was going to choke me and he was going to bite my face off....nope nothing but love!
Okay- so, to answer your question, what I did was start by putting a small piece in my hand (open hand) to build trust.
Rocky would eat a piece or two.
Then I would wiggle a piece - he thinks it's moving (like a bug)- he will eat it.
In no time, when you leave the door open of the enclosure, your beardie will meet you for lunch time (more so for the bugs not salads).
I stuck my hand in the enclosure, I was scared to take him out LOL.
Don't let Rocky2022 fool you, Rocky has her wrapped around hus lil fingers as surely as the sun comes up tomorrow lol. (But i admit it took her a lil bit to learn to trust him )

These games are definitely not for me anymore. I prefer to read about highwayjoin.com for now, I found https://ausscasinosanalyzer.com/casino-bonuses/highwayjoin.com for myself. So I rest. after a hard day at work. This really helps me. There is still a child inside each of us.
