Okay so i didnt start this when they were babies or when i just got them, mostly because i didnt know about any of these sites or even how to use them and i still mostly dont. :) Some of you my not like that fact that they live together but ive been told many times and by a vet that i could house them together so, im going to start telling you guys their little story of ADVENTURE! Their story begins with me in my Horticulture class and seeing the biology teachers birds in the green house room. I used to have to birds and that made me miss them so of course when i got home I had to ask for some birds. :D Of course my mother said no before i could finish asking and i asked again. She told me to ask my step father, he said i should get a lizard instead. He wanted me to get geckos. My mom wanted me to get an iguana. I heard from a friend that bearded dragons were really cool. Well one day while I was at a ball game with my best friend my mother calls me to tell me that she bought me TWO bearded dragons. I came home and there was a ten gallon tank in my room with two tiny little lizards in it! One was light (luna), the other was dark (techo). Well after having them for about a month Techo had gotten out in the middle of the night! i was so sad and worried with having cats running around the house, two of which were always eatting frogs, mice, bunnies, etc. Not to mention just getting two puppys the month before my lizards lol. Well i changed Luna's name to something else because it made me miss Techo. Then i Found Techo and decided i wanted to change (Luna's) name again. She is now Myrnin (from Morganville Vampires). Techo hadnt grown at all.

So i was really worried about his health, found him by my xbox. It took awhile but he finally started to grow but Myrnin was still a lot bigger than him :(

he got a lot healthier and now he is bigger than her. I made a mistake thou. I had two adult bearded dragons living in one 40 gal tank. I didnt and still dont know a whole lot about beardies but ive been looking things up and getting advice. So it shouldnt have been a surprise when he bit off part of her tail :/ I took her to the vet and did as they said. Im still working on getting the bigger tank all fixed up but they are seperated til her tail is completely better. The new tank is 5' long and its going to have quite a few hiding and climbing places with seperate feeding bowls :) Still working on it only cause caulk takes so long to dry :/ Well now that y'all are updated from now on these should be shorter :p

From what I understand, there are no pure German Giants left in the United States. He might have some GG in his bloodline but most people tend to label big dragons as German Giants when it isn't true.

There is a lot to learn about bearded dragons and you've found a great site here! I would advise that you keep them permanently separated though as even in a large tank fights, injuries, and death are a possibility with co-habitation. I just took in a six year old female who is missing half of her tail from an injury caused by her previous tank mate.

I cant have two tanks there is no room and for little over a year they had lived together without any aggression and still do when they roam my room together

So finally finished their tank last night only to realize we bought the wrong type of screen for the roof

so i have a few wooden boards across the top to hold the lights til we can run back out again. Though i dont really think they mind. They love the fact they have branches to climb on now and they can get a good look around. My australian sherpherds look being able to watch them as well :D and now that their tank is on the ground i can just open their door and let them crawl out whenever they want :)

Techo got his bath first today and as usual he just sat their and did nothing .... kinda boring lol. Myrnin got her little soak in an iodine solution before her bath, til her tail fully heals. When I put her in her regular bath afterwards she kept trying to swim around but my sink isnt really big enough for her to do that, and she has NEVER done that before so at first i wasnt sure if she was trying to dig or not. So I filled the tub just enough to reach her chest and she was swimming/crawling all around. I think she was happy cause she wouldnt let me pull her out, which I tried doing when she put her face completely under water and then again when she made a weird whining/hissing noise after puffing out her beard. She wouldnt let me though she hopped right back in and for the first time she actually drank out of the tub without me having to put drops by her mouth. After that eventfully time she also got spoiled with some crickets, grasshoppers, and mealworm mix without having to share.

To top it off, I said how i bought the wrong screening in an earlier post so i had to take the lid off because of that so i've been using a binder to cover a part where a log comes really close to the top well, before my mother and I left to teach CCD class I forgot to put that on. When I got home and didn't see that on I got worried til I saw Techo, he's the crazy one, I wasnt really worried but I looked for Myrnin anyways and didnt see her so I figured she was under her log, but decided to look around the room real quick just to check. I turn around and she is right between my tv and my door!!!!! I never would have thought she'd be the one to get out! She is just FULL of surprises today

OH!!!! Almost forgot to tell you guys and ask for some help! I'm also posting this in the health section but i'm really worried about Myrnin. She has had this bright yellow sorta rash,i guess, on her for a long time now. I asked a bunch of other owners at a beardie meet and greet at Petco and they told me it was just her coloring.... which was odd to me since its only on her tail and now her leg and vent area. When I took her to the vet about her losing a good 1/3 of her tail, the vet told me it was just because she was stressed over that. Plus now with the whole new cage thing I cant blame her for being stressed. So any hints or tips on that lemme know, my next step would be to try to find something for a fungal infection?
Also I just noticed a bump in her belly while she was getting her bath today, I dont normally rub her belly but she hasnt been eating much so I got a little worried. She got an extra long bath which i had to refill to keep warm. When I got home I noticed one of them went to the bathroom but with two in the same cage I cant tell who its from but, she still has the bump. HELP!!!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
