My vet visit

Hi, My name is KC and I have a 2 year old boy bearded dragon, his name is Phil. I have really noticed a change in my bearded dragon for about 2-3 weeks, and just recently he stopped eating. This really scared me so I ran to the vet and had her check up on Phil. She had been in the exotic vet business for over 20 years so I felt pretty safe with what she said, however I was told to force open my beardie's mouth (she showed me how to do it safely) and put 1-2 CCs of baby food in his mouth because his digestive system needed a boost. She also gave antibiotics that I also have to shoot in his mouth. Now I know it's not really force feeding I guess, but I searched some stuff on the internet and it all says DON'T FORCE FEED WHAT EVER YOU DO. I really think that the vet may be right but, I feel really guilty doing this and I guess I just need some verification or comments from people that I really am doing the right thing, and if not she is the only vet, and I kind of spent all my savings on all of the stuff that they did for him today, so I cannot get a second opinion from my vet. I would really appreciate all the feedback about this issue that I can get. Thanks

Like you said yourself, you really aren't "Force feeding" your BD... You are just putting some soft food inside his mouth, once it's in there... he's doing the rest! :D Try the butternut squash baby food (Unless your vet reccomended something specific) Your BD might like it and start eating it on his own.

I will second what Redflea said tho'... You really should do what your vet told you to do.

Thanks all I feel loads better about doing it now, and hopefully Phil can recover from his parasite and be back to eating on his own again...

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
