My terrarium set up.. i have some ?'s

My 20gallon tank was looking a little small so i decided to build a tank out of a bookshelf. not the best looking but i think it will work for now. i coated the inside with 3 layers of grout and 4 water/mod podge mix to seal everything up.

top half is all removable with alot of gaps.. i did that so i wouldn't have to drill vent holes on the top but i think there is too much air flow. (i was just being lazy) lol

my question .. is the tank large enough to the point i can leave my dragon in there until hes an adult? or is it too small? and is my lighting position ok?
24" t8 reptisun 10.0 and a 75watt bulb .. the strip light pretty much runs in the middle and behind that is the basking light



i let it run for 1 hour last night and couldn't get the basking spot over 85. so i added foil around the bulb to act like a hood and it went up but never went over 90.. temps in my house never go below 60 and never above 70 .. should i switch to a 100watt bulb?.. i used a digital wire probe thermometer

its pretty much complete now and if anyone has any suggestions or advise please let me know..

Hello . As long as the new cage is about equal to a 40 gallon breeder tank it should be ok for your beardies whole life. I would get those temps up though. 90 is too low. It should get to at least 100. Try getting a bigger wattage of bulb.

Make sure the probe is actually resting on (touching) the basking spot for the full hour or so. But, you may need to go up to a 100 watt and perhaps then, you could do away with the foil around the bulb.

i ended up not using this one yet.. ive gotta fix the top of the enclosure.. its too open .. im thinking about using silicone to seal it all up..
