My newest Craigslist rescue

New Update: He's gained 23 grams in a few days.

Gus seems to be doing very very well now. While giving him a bath, we were looking at him for a bit and all we can say is WOW. This dragon is REALLY colorful. He's definitely a citrus and has quite a bit of purple and Orange in him as well. Check out these pics.

All I know is whoever adopts him from us is going to be very lucky. He's friendly, he's colorful, and he's very active. Now I just gotta pile the weight on him so he is at a healthy level.

He was that dark due to being that dirty and filthy. When he was stressed out he was almost black while he was dirty. That day one picture was his bright colored good mood.

how did you clean his skin? just daily baths or did you scrub with toothbrush?

Both daily bathes and tooth brushing. We did an initial bath with a light amount of dawn dish soap as well.

I have taken in 3 craigslist beardies already and my recent one had a bad fate if a lady hadn't have took her :-( the guy she got her from was going to kill her cuz he had put a smaller one in with her and well she killed it so he was going to kill her if he couldn't dispose of her to some one else... the girl doesn't have issues at all cuz she hasn't shown any signs of ill temper since I brought her home after seeing a vet yesterday after getting her... she has a clean bill of health and is in great shape other than having black gunk on her from being kept on potting soil which gives her extreme orange a nasty look.... I plan on taking in a few more craigslist beardies and might start a rescue and adopting them out once they get a clean bill of health...
