Picked up this little cutie today..He is a little on the small size for what I was told was a year old(but he does have some of his tail missing),he is a bit skinny and real skittish(last owner's roommate had a cat).Anything that comes near him he tries to bite,so other than wiping down his tank briefly,switching out his reptile carpet for a clean one and some newspaper until we get him some tiles like Leonard has,adding a background,a hide and a 100w Powersun.He has a great appitite,I have given him some water via dropper.He will be going to the vet in a few weeks once he is used to his new home here with us.

Right after I hit submit,I looked over at Sammy and he was pooping,lol..Good news all came out looking good and smelled like the normal beardie poop..

Sammy is a very handsome dragon, and he looks quite content!

He really looks much improved ! Great job, you're taking really good care of him and it shows. He never knew he'd have it so good. Once he's a good weight, ease off on the feeders at 3X a day. He can go the other way + gain too much too fast and end up too fat too quickly.

Yeah I am slowly back off on how many feeders I give.He is now getting them 2 times a day and he gets his greens 3 sometimes 4 times a day.He really loves to eat We took out his retile carpet and newspaper today and gave him some nice slate tiles.He still very skittish so today since he was pretty bright and very very faint stress marks and pleasant,I started putting my hand in the viv while talking to him,leave there for a min. or so and move it a bit closer to him,wait and move again all while talking to him.He did really good with it,no stress marks,no black beard.He let me move my hand all the way next to him front toes.Though when I touched his front foot he pulled away but still no black beard or stress marks.later in the day I tried hand feeding and today he did accept what I offered and let me rub under his chin with 1 finger.I sent a pic and update to his previous owner as she was upset that she had to give him up but life just had her too busy(work and school).But she said Sammy usually doesn't warm up to people quickly but she was glad he is adjusting well.And I thanked her for letting me and my hubby adopt Sammy as he is an awesome little man.And I believe he will be even more awesome as he relaxes more with us,as even when he was stressed he had such a silly personality.
