My new beardies not eating well

I got my baby beardie on 31st sept, and have had him for 3 days now. He ate 4 crickets the day I got him home, but hasn't eaten since. Hes not touching the salad (which probably isn't a big deal) but yesterday I put 8 crickets in in the morning, which he ignored, and when I knocked out the viv for lights out I removed all 8! And the same happened this morning. I put 3 in, and they're all still in there.

Its a 6 foot viv with sand and the temperatures are all fine, 70f at the coldest, 95+ at the hottest under the basking bulb.

I thought I'd better weigh him just to keep an eye on his weight, and he weighs 26g (13 weeks old) which I think is ok, I'll just keep an eye on his weight and make sure it doesn't drop. Its only been a day and a half, but I thought I should get advice early, as I'm also worried he may suffer from lack of calcium, as all hes had in the last 3 days is the light coating on the 4 crickets.

Is it worth maybe mixing some calcium in with water and try spoon feeding him a bit? Just an idea.

its relocation stress which means your beardie just needs to get used to its surroundings. have a look around the form and youll find alot of new beardie owners that were in the same boat as you. as for a calcium deficiency don worry it doesnt take 3 days for mbd (metabloic bone disease) to develop. give it a week or two and hopefully it will start eating right.

Just a side note, I would recommend taking out the sand. It can cause impaction which you probably don't want to deal with. Also, lighting right now or in the future can be affecting him. You are going to want to get a ReptiSun 10.0 UVB light which can be found here (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752589). Good luck!

there is no 31st september. haha. just letting you know.
its relocation stress for sure. dont worry about too much. my beardie went for about two weeks only eating five crickets every other day. now he eats like 12 crickets a day. and the number is constantly growing. and i wouldnt spoon feed him unless he becomes really emaciated. spoon feeding him would probably stress him out even more.
one more thing, i would try to make the coldest side at least 85 degrees. not 70. 70 is the lowest it should ever be even at night.
