Hi everybody. I am a new bearded dragon owner and really happy to have found this website and forum. What a great place!
I got my beardie, Loki, on June 13th from Petsmart. She is actually Loki II, as we had one previously who did not make it through his first night. He must have been sick when we got him. Happily, Loki seems to be doing much better. She is pretty active, a little stressed since she just got a bigger viv a week ago, but eating pretty well. She was 6'' when we got her and is now 7.25'' long on a diet of live crickets, mini crickets from a can, greens, and bearded dragon pellets (which she ate at Petsmart, and for the first few days here, until she realized she'd be getting crickets... now she's spoiled and doesn't touch the pellets )
We handle her every day and she is really getting used to us picking her up and petting her. She sleeps in her hammock every night in exactly the same position... a very good little lizard. She's shed her tail so far and a tiny bit of her head, but nothing else so far.
The day we got her:
On my husband's finger attacking his cursor:
She loves the hammock:
And she loves climbing all over me:
