I have recently got 2 adult dragons 1 male who is doing fine and 1 female who seems to be fine but she isnt eating... As ive only just got them when I put the first load of food in (kale, apple and cucumber) none of them touched it even tho they both apear to know its there but walk straight past

Not a problem as my last bearded dragon would only eat fruit n veg as a last resort

BUT I put morio worms in nice and fresh bought from a good well knowen and busy exotic pet shop... The male chowed down, munched and scoffed but the female didnt even bat an eye lid... Even waved one in her face and still nothing... So today I bought some large locusts and took the male away to give her full opportunity to eat what she wanted but still nothing

By this point she was looking drained of energy and I forgot to say that none of them are interested in water dishes so I took the female out and put her in the bath with some warm water and she had a good drink :) and once she was back in the viv she looked nice and alert so I left her with the morios n locusts and placed the male in the bath.. . Same again... took a nice big drink of water

But I dont know if the female has eaten anything and would appreciate any advice before I bother my mates at the pet shop

The previous owner said they love kale, morio worms and locusts... Ive offered all three and the female has turned her nose up to all... Previous owner said they ate on sunday (before he gave them to me) both beardies have had a poop within the 4.5 days ive had them

Just spoke with one of my mates about it... Goni continue to put her in baths for few days to hydrate her and move the spiral uv bulb to the centre of the viv :) hope it works

Hi. Could you give a run down of the set up? Also you said the uvb is spiral? If it is get rid of it you need to get a reptisun 10.0 tube or arcadia 12%. The coil/compct cause eye problems in beardies. Are they housed together? If so please separate them.

Ok, a few things here;

As above, ditch the UV coiled bulb. They are more trouble then anything. You need a UV Strip Tube that runs at least 3 quarters of your viv. But bet Is Arcadia 12% D3. They are the best in the business. The T5's setup is the best going on the market. But if you want a little cheaper, then get the T8 setup. Cheaper yes, but the quality is still top notch.

And again as above, separate them if housed together. The dominant one could already be stopping the other from eating.

Also you say you just got them?. This is also a factor. New home, new smells, new sights. They need a good 2/3 weeks to settle. This can effect eating, poo, they can hide a lot too.
Some will be fine even the first couple of days after having them. But I myself tend to find that after a couple of days, its only then that they "new home" begins to dawn on them. Then they hide, go off food etc.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
