Hey everyone:)
I want you guys to meet my little beardie Louis!! I am a first time bearded dragon owner and I absolutely love it! I got him as a baby in February and he has been growing too fast ever since :( . He loves running around the house, chasing crickets, basil and chilling outside with me in the sun! Here are some pictures from him growing up. I hope you guys find him as precious as I do :)

Almost like he is smiling at his mommy

He is very handsome! His colors are beautiful! It's amazing how fast they grow. Beardies are addictive. Six months ago I had one, now I have three!

Thank you guys!!:) and I agree!they really are addictive. I spent a lot of time with him over the day. I have been taking him outside a lot lately and now he's constantly trying to get outside of the cage to enjoy the sunlight
Do you guys have any experience with beardie leashes?
Also his nails are getting quite long and sharp :? . Can you cut them a little or should I just leave it?

I've found the parachute cord leashes are the most comfortable/easiest to get on. They tend to hate putting them on but then forget they are on after a few minutes.

As for the nails, you could put a slightly rough rock in the tank, or put down ceramic tile as a substrate which should help keep the nails filed down. You can trim them yourself too but need to be careful. Using clippers, just trim the sharp point and not the larger part of the nail. It's straightforward once you get the hang of it, but keep some cornstarch nearby in case the nail gets nicked and starts bleeding.

Mine love to sit in a window, with a screen, and enjoy the fresh air and sunlight. I use tile in their enclosures and it keeps their nails pretty short. My female came to me with really long, sharp nails, so I used baby nail clippers and just clipped the tips off.

@CooperDragon: Thank you for your advice. Do you ever have "problems" with your beardie eating weeds outside? I sometimes let Louis run around in the grass and at times he eats the weeds  . They are not sprayed but I'm afraid he will eat something that's toxic for him or with parasites in it.

@Breezy99: Nice! My beardie loves to do that, too. Mine won't be happy when winter comes around living in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan :?

I wouldn't worry too much about it if the grass isn't sprayed. It's not the best but the risk is low enough not to fret about it too much. Try to keep an eye out for what he likes (maybe dandelion greens?) and try to offer it washed in a salad.

As far as I know those wont cause any issues as long as they aren't sprayed with chemicals. I wouldn't freak out but I wouldn't make it a habit either.

@reptilemaster:
Thank you! I love your beardie's name, Basil!

I found another one while looking through my pictures. So adorable :) I miss how attached he was too! He always tried to clim back on my arm when I tried to put him back in the cage. Now he wants to run around and explore stuff ouch haha

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
