My Little Krogan Eve

So hello! I've had Eve for about a week now and I decided to make a picture and story thread about her that I'll probably update weekly. Eve was named after Eve, a Krogan from the Mass Effect, which are these Bipedal lizard aliens that I find very amusing and cool and I new right away when I got my beardie that I had to name it after a krogan.

Eve is finally starting to get used to me. She was really shy after her first couple of days. I got to see her shed for the first time last night. She shed her hing legs you can really tell the difference from last week. I can't wait till her back sheds so I can see her colors really pop.

Also tips for keeping her tank warm at night? It hasn't gotten blow 70F degrees but I know it will get colder around here soon.

Went to the pet store where I got Eve to get her crickets and it found out she's a german giant and sand fire mix :shock: That's what they said she is anyway... I didn't really care when I bought her because she was cute and don't care so much now either. Gonna have to wait to see how big she gets to see if they're telling the truth.

Weird but when I went to the store I brought my mother and she kept trying to convince me we should get another one, to keep with Eve for company. I quickly told her no and now I'm disappointed in the owners too because they kept trying to convince my mom that a second one was a good idea. I've bought my fish from these guys for years now and now they're blasting this junk at me and my mom trying to just make a sale? =n= Not cool guys.

And its hard to say no to something like that. So hard.

I went home and played with Eve for a good 30 minutes after that. She doesn't mind actual handling so much anymore, but getting her out of her enclosure still stresses her out, but she calms down after she's put on my bewbs.

Good for you for sticking with what's right and not giving in just so they could make a sale. If you really do want a second one, you could get another set up for it to have it's own cage. Maybe if they got along they could have supervised play times at some point, but it would still have it's own house this way Eve is safe and so is the new baby. Eve is super cute by the way, her pictures are precious...

Eve shed some a few days ago and since it was warm in the house I decided to take her out. She's grown like 3-4 inches since I got her in October. (She was about 6-7 inches before and now she's like 11) Is that good? (And yeah I know my room is a mess)

She's eating fine and doing fine.

She wandered around on my desk a little bit today. She was really curious and tasted a lot of my stuff.


Oh she also took a huge poop... it was almost the size of her head... umm... normal? I know I had given her more food then usual the day before but I wasn't expecting the monster poop.

Eve absolutely hates baths. I tried giving her her second bath today and she just freaked out the moment she hit the water (temps were fine). I think I'm just going to keep gently misting her. I think she likes that too because she knows once I finish handling her for the day that's when she gets her water from her bottle.
