My house is turning into a Zoo!

Today,

We acquired a female Russian Tortoise that is 6 yrs old (Sheldon...) also a 6 month old Green Iguana "Oz"

What did I get myself into!

Does anyone have an iguana? I used to live in the keys and on cold snaps would rescue the wild ones but never kept one as a pet before.

He was the fattest one in the pack and had the best spot under the basking lamp.

My Current Enclosure for Buddy and our former Tortoise is 56" W 49" tall 36" deep..

The floor is Slate Tile, Buddy has nothing "soft" in his...and now I'm scrambling to get a proper set up for Oz and new Substrate for Sheldon.

Any ideas?

We have a zoo too: one bearded dragon, a red ear slider turtle, a cat, a parakeet, a hamster and three betas (my turtle ate my favorite fish, Molly, who was like 4.5" long.)
And we're getting a chinese water dragon and MAYBE another beardie

My older daughter loves birds, I'm just not as big of a fan lol...eventually we will be adding a dog to the mix but I think this is it on reptiles. Can't wait for summer so they can go outside

i know nothing about iguanas, except that they are taking over florida XD
i too have a zoo, rather a good friend of mine does and i visit often

I want a zoo, but cooler heads always prevail. :lol: (Our house is too small for much of one, anyway - we have plans to design our own one day. The husband wants a room specifically for his comics and DVDs, so I'm going to insist on having one just for caged animals! The dogs can have the rest of the house, we can have an outside enclosure for the goats... *dreams* )
