SO last night, the filaments in the heat lamp blub broke, and now it wont work. It is now morning, and my beardie has stress marks, won't move, and is cold to the touch. Is there anything temporary I can do to warm him up before I get another bulb? (I live far away from the closest pet shop) anything would be helpful, thanks!

If he likes being held you can hold him to share your warmth. Otherwise if your house is relatively warm he should be fine. While they can't bask they are quite capable of handling room temps for an extended time and tend to just slow down a bit or nap. If you have a household incandescent bulb you can try using that temporarily to provide some additional heat as well. It's good to have some spare basking bulbs on hand for these instances but if it takes a little while to get a replacement it shouldn't be a big deal.

I talked about the possibility of this happening, when I bought my viv. The guy said if the heat lamp breaks, it's not an emergency. Just don't feed your beardie, until you get the new lamp in, and they've warmed up again.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
