So my enclosure is a typical 4x2x2', custom built. I posted pics of it already. I just want to know about the lighting. If its okay that is.
I have ordered 2x 10.0 reptisun bulbs, and they came in, but they sent 5.0 instead T_T so they will reship them on monday. For now, ill use the 2x 5.0 in the mean time. its better than having repti-glo expired crap, right? (I have a dual fluorescent bulb fixture and a single bulb fixture for heating on the side) Now for the numbers :
My heating bulb is a Zoo med http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/reptile-supplies/heat-bulbs-night-heat-bulbs-ceramic-bulbs/-/zoo-med-100-watt-basking-bulb/, exactly that one. 100 Watts. It is situated at 15.5 inches of him when he's on the ground, and 10.5 inches from him when he's on his log right under it. the heating in the day seems to be 107 degrees F. yesterday it was hitting 120ish....kinda odd. This is a brand new bulb installed yesterday. That okay?
For the 5.0 reptisun's (temporary for 10 days until i get the 10.0) ((I had gotten two just for a backup in 5 months btw, i don't plan on using both at the same time) that section of the cage is messed at 32 Degrees Celsius (2 different types of thermometer) which is 89.6 o F about. It's situated at 15.5 inches from him when he's on his log, and 20.5 inches when he's on the ground. That okay?
At night time, its 20-25o C, or 73-77o F in his cage. That okay?
These are the temps i got off right now. yesterday scared me cause it was both higher. 120 F in the basking, and 95 F in his normal spot...got scared. i"ll update this later tonight, see how it is then.
