I just got a 4 month old bearded dragon shipped to me about 4days ago when i got her out of the box i saw that she was in final stage of shedding from her face and shes been freaked out. She wont eat. The first 2days she wouldn't really move. Some one told me to cover all sides of the tank and uncover little by little. So i started to do that and now shes starting to move around, but now shes been wall surfing (scratching the glass) fo the past 2 days. IS THERE NE THING I NEED NO DO?

Her basking side is at 103 rte now. But goes up to 115 or so.

just stress more than likely, he's probably just curious about his new world. if you are able to do so bring him out to explore a bit when he's surfing. i'll let Fred out when he surfs and he'll walk around a bit then head back to his enclosure and surf on the outside... so i let him back in. i wouldn't worry about it too much though. what kinda setup do you have going on for him?

I DID TAKE HER OUT BUT SHE WAS KINDA OF SCARED. WHEN I PUT HER BACK IN THE TANK SHE DIDNT MOVE FOR ABOUT 30 MIN AND NOW SHES HIDING UNDER HER LOG. I HAVE A LOG HIDE OUT ON THE BASKING SIDE AND HER FOOD TRAY ON THE COOL SIDE. I SOAKED HER YESTERDAY TO HYDRATE HER BUT WONT EAT

Give her a while (several days I'd suggest) to calm down and settle in.

While she's adjusting, spend time hanging out where she can see you and talk to her quietly and just let her see there doing things , don't force yourself on her or handle her more than is absolutely necessary for now (ie to take her out to handfeed a couple crickets - great way to bond to a lizard, or to spot clean, or remove uneaten salad/veg/ insects), if she'll let you, pet her while talking quietly to her while she's basking or sitting in her enclosure, let her know you wont hurt her (you don't know what she experienced before she was shipped to you or how she was treated / handled while being shipped, she might be very deeply traumatised by the experience/s).

SHe'll come around soon enough, let hER do this at hER own pace.

115oF IS WAY TOO HOT FOR A HATCHLING.
About 40oC is ideal (a bearded dragon's preferred body temperature is 35oC.)

How long is the day cycle you have her on. I'd recommend 15-16 hours lights ON per day.

She needs very strong UV , UVA about 30% and UVB at least 10%.

I keep my hatchlings in 100L clear sided plastic storage tubs. IMO putting a little hatchling in a full size (4' x 2' footprint) enclosure will :
- stress it (overwhelm it , going from a crowded enclosure with lots of siblings and other similar aged hatchlings to huge empty space .... scary
- make it harder for it to catch it's mobile prey insects.

At least 2 live insect feeds per day, at 4 months , same age as my Peppa and Toothless, my schedule is :
--- Lights on 6am
--- am feed about 10am (15 - 18 x medium (1/3 - 2/3 sized) crickets each , I have a brief handfeeding session (2 - 3 crickets) and snuggles and petting and socialising with my wife and me, started off only long enough to get a few crickets in (at 5 weeks old), now about 5 - 10mins each on each of us.
--- hatchlings have a siesta for an hour or so about 3pm
--- pm feed about 3 - 4 pm (10 medium crickets each) , salad/greens and softened pellets go in with second feed of insects).
--- 10pm lights out.

All my pet lizards get to watch TV , and they all love it.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
