My dragon ate string

A piece of white string, probably a inch long or a little more got mixed in with the calcium powder. By the time I notice it was to late. My beardy ate it. Is there need for concern or is this something that he should be able to pass with no issues.

I can't tell you of the full consequences for sure, but your dragon will pass it through eventually if it doesn't get stuck, and it might cause poop to get caught on the string.
You can take him to the vet just in case if it hasn't passed already.

He'll probably pass it easily if it was just an inch....if there were going to be a problem a vet couldn't really help. It should pass through as he eats and poos but you can offer a bit of applesauce or squash baby food and add a few drops of veg. oil , that will act as a natural laxative.

Make sure you give him a bath everyday until you think he has passed it. This will help the digestive system pass it. If he becomes lethargic or stops eating then take him to a vet. Keep us updated.

Although I have not actually seen the string in his poop, he is still pooping and eating like normal. Its been a couple of days now so I think he is fine. If anything changes I will post another reply. Thanks everyone.

Sort of related - a couple times my beardie has chewed my girlfriends hair while on her shoulder and I've had to literally pull it from his mouth out of his stomach, covered in stomach crap. Needless to say the lady usually isn't impressed when it happens. Although as long as the beardie is okay I get a good laugh.
