My Dragon ate a Hot Heart

Those small red cinnamon flavored candies that are popular during Valentines.

My lizard ate one. She's just over 14 inches long.

What should I do. She doesn't seem like she's in any pain at all. It happened about five minutes ago. It is not lodged in her throat, it went inside of her.

I have never heard of anything like that happening. I dont know what to tell you the effect would be. Definitely keep an eye on her, and if anything seems out of the ordinary, a vet visit would be in order.

She only ate one?I wouldnt panic although it may give her a tummy ache she will live through it with some help from you.First I would make sure you get her hydrated by giving her a bath.I would also start her on a probiotic to get her gutflora in order.You can use benebac,acidophilliz,SOY yogurt or bee pollen.The thing I would worry about her is the sugar so be sure not to give her any fruit or anything else that will increase her sugar levels any higher,ok?

Your welcome and like I said she may get a tummy ache and you will want to help her through that but other then that she will be ok.
