My Destiny

Will be here Tuesday Morning! OMG I cant wait!!!! Im so excited!!! I KNOW Ive driven Howlin Gale Dragons NUTS because Im so excited... and now that Ive gotten shipping information, Im almost beside myself with excitement!!!!

She's so pretty in the pictures Ive seen.... and Ive never had one shipped before... and I just cant wait to pick her up and snuggle her!

Help me cope with the waiting! LOL!!!!!!

Wow--she is so pretty!!! And she looks great!!! I don't see any stress marks on her at all!!! But are those stress marks I see on you in that pic where you are holding her?? :lol:

Anyway, I am SO happy with my beautiful little girl! YES my heart just melted when I saw her! She scared me when I picked up the little bag she was in - no resistance, no MOVEMENT - so I was fearing the worst... fact was, she was CALM!!!! I was the only one who was freaking out! LMBO!!!!!!

She is just such a sweetheart! I tried giving her another bath after her feeding this afternoon, and she wanted NOTHING to do with it. She said UH Mamma! ONE bath for me a day is ENOUGH!!!! So she promptly climbed up my arm and gave me the sweetest little love eye!

Im sure I'll be babbling on for days about how much I love her and how beautiful she is!!!!

What a great birthday present!!!! :mrgreen:

I know what you mean...when i brought Puff home and went to take him out of his container, he was limp and didn't move, then i realized he was very relaxed...he opened his eyes and cocked his little head at me and just watched me, and my heart melted all the rest of the way from when I first saw him!!!!! Who ever said these precious little souls are "just lizards"!?
I hope your stress marks are fading. Maybe the UPS man can get a flat tire on his truck tomorrow just for putting you through that!!LOL!!

She's very cute! I can't wait to see her all grown up, going to be a pretty little thing. Though I hope she doesn't grow up to fast, they're so fun when they're this size! Congrats again

Wow! We haven't worked out a way to weigh our babies yet so I don't know on weight. Hermes looks to be just over 12" long, a good 7" of that being tail... I will get an official length tonight at bath time. What amazes us is how ROUND he's getting and his big double chin! We just went on vacation for a week and came home to HUGE! :shock: His legs seem to have doubled he's so dang tall! Whenever people tell us how big Twitch is, we're like you should see Hermes' mom! :mrgreen: And now Hermes is telling me I'm a slacker and he wants his morning worms. Congrats on your new master, keep the pics coming!

This mornings update on my beautiful Destiny -

She poo'd yesterday, and she ate very well. I burrito'd her (as well as you can burrito a tiny baby! LOL) and she LOVED it!!!

This morning she ate about 20 baby roaches, and some of her salad! She's doing SO well!!!!!

She's been glass dancing when she wants out, and she's just so calm and sweet when I hold her!

Could I be any MORE in love?

When I opened the box with my girls in it,I first put Freckles in her tank,she hissed and tried to bite,poor baby was scared to death.alf on the other hand sat looking at me from her tupperware container(not exactly tupperware) like "Hey momm lady,are ya gonna get me out or leave me in here?" When I got her out I was expecting another scared baby even though she seemed calm. HUH she just crawled right up my chest and let me hold her for a minute while I cleared lights off the top of her cage (December and I had been warming her cage in anticipation of her arrival) then watched me for the longest time after I put her in her tank. FED EX was about to have stress marks and more that day,they were supposed to be delivered around 10:30 that morning and didn't get here until almost 3:30 that afternoon.I was back and forth between the computer and the door watching and posting,not here yet,even emailed Gina at moonlight reptiles and told her they weren't here. I was so relieved when the fed ex truck pulled up I was out the door and to his truck before he even got the door open.I signed for them and talked ot the all the way to their cages.

Yeah, it just amazed me how calm she was! I think if Id spent the night in a box, Id be terrified!

I know what you mean about being in a box. Poor Alf and Freckles were in the box overnight and over half the next day. I don't know about their concept of time,but I would have been going nuts I like to see what's going on in the world.I am so addicted and want another one,but right now can't afford it so we spend as much time pampering her that I don't know if we'd have time for another.A friend of ours was looking for us a dragon and found one after we had already put a deposit on Alf,I considered getting that dragon too until I saw how aggresive he was and he never calmed down,even after a couple of months of working with him. Any time you would go near his viv,he would run at the glass and try to bite. I have a picturee of me holding him,I had started to pet him and my son snapped the picture,my other hand was no where near him and his mouth was open and he was hissing at me. I know it had alot to do with his set up,but there was nothing I could do about it,my suggestions were ignored.
He was on walnut shells,no heat,poor UVB,fed crickets and brocoli and carrots,never handled because he was so aggresive. If it had not been for my Timmy I would probably have gotten him and tried to calm him,but didn't want Timmy getting scared and hating beardies,I think (no I know) we were blessed when we got Alf,calm from day one,even when shedding,eats well all but one or 2 times and when I changed her diet to include supers(after she was big enough) she eats like a little pigs and LOVES to snuggle.
