Hi, i had a thread before but it got locked (i hadn't been on in a while so my bad-got sidetracked with university big time). But to recap, ive got three dragons (Hadrian, Daenarys and my brother's dragon Dexter) as well as 2 crested geckos (which i breed-i have one remaining baby from a second clutch and 4 more eggs on teh way) as well as 2 wonderful pooches (Lily an English Springer and Hudson a Cavalier King Charles) and within my family (all live in different places) four cats, ducks and chickens, koi fish in a pond and a 6 year old turtle lives there too, happy as a clam.

Here is my old thread for more pictures.
viewtopic.php?f=44&t=156867

Welcome back!
I creeped your other thread, too... And those vivs are awesome!!

Thanks, your bearded dragons are quite adorable too! The vivs actually may be replaced as they are falling apart due to transferring them so often between the mainland and the island where I go to school

thanks, he is a little gem. It was quite hot in Vancouver today and hopefully tommorow so taking the dragons outside might happen again

It was sweltering!
Yeah, it's supposed to be sunny and warm again tomorrow. My dragons are enjoying it, too. :p

Yeah it was hot. Much cooler today though.
Daenarys enjoyed it

So Daenarys has had a black beard/was acting off all week. I got a bit worried so i took her to the herp vet.

Here she is on her excursion

The vet said that she was maybe a little constipated :? But i was worried she somehow got parasites. I was also worried she could be eggbound with infertile eggs (she and Hadrian never have physical contact)

So i took her home. And low behold this morning:
She has laid about 15 eggs!

I am going to get her a laybox and research egg laying today. She had stomped on them all and I know there are no babies. But her black beard is gone! And she is back to her old self! I was a bit annoyed at the vet because she felt for eggs and said that there were none.....and she is a herp vet. :? :?

Wow! Is that a lot of eggs? Or about normal? I think I would be a bit moody too. Lol.
Glad she's back to her old self again!

Aww!! Poor Daenarys! I'm dreading the day Striker starts cycling! She's already scaring me with there treat of it.
I'm glad Daenarys is back to normal after her ordeal! She's lucky to have such a vigilant dad!! :)

Hey, long time no see. I myself took a bit of a hiatus from posting here too. I'm so glad Daenarys laid her infertile eggs for you without a lay box. Too bad your herp vet is an ***** like mine. :x I really hope to one day find a herp vet that I have confidence in. :?
They all look great btw.
Amy :D

I had to search around for one. I've taken all of my previous pet (mostly family pets) to the same vet for as long as I can remember. They referred me to several other vets that "may" take reptiles, and eventually it came down to two reputable vets, one in Surrey, and one in Coquitlam. If you're nearby, I'd really recommend Dr.Upjohn at Eagle Ridge Animal Hospital.
He's very nice, gentle, and even gave me some online references in case I had other questions, and is willing to research further things he's not sure of. :)

P.S.
I think Striker has a crush on Hadrian....
She climbed off my shoulder and licked his picture on my phone screen. Funny cuz I can't even get her to do it for Ant Crusher. :p

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
