My Beardie won't sleep! Too distracted with reflection

Quincy ends up only sleeping on meduring the day because he is up all night chasing his reflection. I put paper on the inside and cut it down to a few inches just enough so he couldn't see himself and he spent all night last night trying to get the paper off because he suddenly remembered there 'once was' another Beardie in there which he is mistaken with his reflection... it's stressing him out and I can't have him out of the cage all night I have to sleep for work! He already has been keeping me up due to him jumping at the glass previous to me putting the paper up...
help! What do I do!

Not sure if this would work for you but since I am up later than lights off, I cover the tank with a blackout curtain and then when I am going to bed & lights out, Inremove the curtain.

Line the lowest part of his viv with printer paper sheet held in place with a little bit of stickytape, no more ghost beardie staring back at him.

I put paper along the bottom to where he can't see himself, he keeps trying to rip the paper down, it's like he knows that there was once a 'bearded dragon' there and he isn't eating properly now cause of his obsession wth his reflection

Are you by chance using a light emitting heat source at night? If so, turn it off! No light, no reflection!
Dragons like it cool (72° to 78°) and dark at night, this allow them to slow their metabolism so they actually rest. Light of any type disturbs their sleep patterns. This causes lethargy, slows eating and, other health problems, not to mention cranky lizard! In the event that your house temps drop below 65° at night, you can use a CHE (ceramic heat emitter) to adjust the heat on a dimmer.

Ya, Peaches does the same thing, lol! Once, she was climbing from her log to her shelf and, the timer went off, she stopped in mid stride and, boom....zzzzzzzzzzz! That's where she was when the lights came back on at 6am, it was cute!

assertive little bugger .... he must like his ghost beardie or really like to see the zoo beyond his glass walls.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
