My beardie just swallowed a rubber band.

Okay so I was feeding her, and when I do this I take her out of her tank and put her on the ground and give her crickets. Im usually quite good at keeping stuff that is bite sized off the carpet. The carpet is a deep tan color and i over looked a rubberband from one of the cricket bags, but of course my almost blind beardie did not. Once I saw it in her mouth I did my best to try and get it out, but failed. I feel really stupid. Someone please help me! Tell me that she is just going to poop it out pllleeeaaasseee!

im not sure i've never had that problem. Just keep giving her warm baths until she passes. if she doesnt pass it within the next few days take her to the vet. try giving olive oil to help passing it.

Haha I wouldn't think anyone would have this problem except me. Thank you so much, how to administer the olive oil? and how do I get her mouth open?

yo u can either do it through a syringe or just dab it with your finger on her lips let her lick it off, should prob mix it with babyfood and water. squash/turkey is the best baby food, my beardies always seem to like it.

Don't worry:

Our "Puff Dragon" did the same thing. We, as you, where in a panic. The rubberband passed in the Pooh! Just watch for it in the Pooh.

We Rescued "Puff Dragon" from near death in the front yard. We never thought they where special but how wrong we where. Our "Puff Dragon" has become the love of our life. We understand and know how concerned you are. Beardes are special and deserve a good and happy life.
