My beardie has insomnia? Maybe nocturnal?

So for the past four days my beardie has been neglecting sleep. He will just bask on the driftwood the whole night! At first we thought it was the night bulb (50w) but then we got a 75 and still the same problem! He moved down on the driftwood but he is still basking! He worried me to death the second night of his insomnia becuz he jumped at the lid! I then stayed up till one watching him until i fell asleep. When i woke up he was still there! This has becum routine with the exception of two nights ago, when he finally went to his corner and slept. Lately he has also had trouble pooping. He will sometimes take two days just to go. I give him plenty of veggies and spray him once a day. His staple is crickets.
Anyways can someone explain why he is acting nocturnal and having #2 issues?
Thank you

Btw he is 10 ish inches long (head to tail) and is 3-4 months old

unless your tank gets below 65 degrees there is no need for night heat, if there is, use a ceramic heat element, beardies can see the light from those "night bulbs" and it keeps them awake. might be stressing the little guy out.

I would think that too but while he is basking he has a cream white belly and is gaping ?. I have had him since june now and he just recently started this. Who knows tho with my silly little beardie.

beats me, that would be my guess, i just know it's a general bad idea to have those "night bulbs" with beardies.

Thanx it seems to be working. He was balancing on the top of the driftwood so i put him in his usual corner as in where he used to sleep. And he tucked himself in and is drifting asleep :) . Thank u soooo much !!! Idk why it is just now starting to bother him tho? Maybe he just had a change in personaility :p anyways thank u

I totally agree - sometimes if Borris' cage is to hot - he stays awake all night. Too hot is just as bad as too cold - keep a thermometer handy in the cage - i use a probe one and just keep it where he spends the most time. If he needs to get hotter he'll move to the heat - but if he can't escape the heat... he's up all night long
- keep us posted

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
