hi i got my beardie Zebby 2 weeks ago. took her to the vet just to check she was all healthy. the vet did a scan because she has been digging recently annd he said that her eggs are at the follicle stage, they are unfertilised. i was wondering how long until she will lay them roughly? they are about 1cm in height so he said. i do have a scan pic somewhere on my pc if needed..

Hi there...laying eggs is natural and should be no problem as long as she's healthy. :) Make a lay box for her, you can do it a few different ways. Get a medium plastic tote [ about 20L, 16W, 20H. ] Get a large bag of children's sand from Walmart/ Lowe's/Home Depot. You can use sand alone or with PLAIN topsoil also at the gardening center. Put about 10" high [ don't skimp] in the tote, mix with warm water until it's moist but not wet. Pile some up higher on one side, like a hill, then cover it with an upside down box, about the size of a large boot box or similar with one end cut out to act as a cave. Put that directly over the sand and dig some of it to start the " cave " for her. Place her in there for a couple hours a day. If the room is not over 75 degrees add a clamp heat lamp on top, but make sure the cave seems hidden + private.

You can also do a smaller version like this one I used for some of my girls. This is about 20" L, 13"W and 7-8" H with a hole cut out of the lid for access.

Hello,

Congratulations on your new dragon! :D They certainly know how to worry us, that is for sure. She will be fine, as long as she has a place to lay when she is ready, no problem. Some will even lay without a lay box, the crazy girls.
I would say if they are not shelled, then she still has at least another 2-3 weeks. It sounds relatively early on in the follicular development.
Zebby is a sweet little name for her. I am sure she will be very happy with her new mommy now.

Let us know how she is doing.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
