Hey everyone, this is my first post! I'd just like to say hello to all the people on this site, thanks for making it great! (From what I can tell so far. :))

Well, tonight is the fourth night that my Beardie (Sahara) has gone without pooping. She is 2 or 3+ years, in an approximately 60 gallon tank, etc. If you want to see the setup and see Sahara, go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOZbJc4TXAA This is a video I made of her and basic information. So this constipation is completely uncharacteristic of her, and so I thought I would play it safe and give her a warm bath, massage, and some applesauce, in case she was impacted... I don't think she is, but I wasn't taking a risk . I gave her the applesauce off of my finger, and she was only licking it at first, but then she latched onto my finger and drew blood... a lot of it. It didn't hurt and it wasn't a vicious attack, just a soft spot on the finger. I know this is my fault for finger-feeding her (I did make sure my hands were washed, though!) but I just want to know if this one bite can lead to:
a) more aggression for Sahara
b) finger biting whenever I reach into her cage
c) infection... for me and for her.

If it can lead to anything, can you please suggest methods of reversing the damage?

Once again, thanks guys, and it's good to be here!

hello!

sounds like she just mistook your finger for applesauce!

i wouldn't worry too much about the biting, if that's the only time she has ever done it. maybe just use a syringe or maybe a straw or something
for her to lick the food off of next time. :)

Haha, I like the tank! I saw the 'woodchips' and I liked those! Maybe copy you if thats alright

As for the bite, I wouldnt worry about it. My beardie, Bandit, has bit me on the lip before. He was trying to get the banana I was eating (he was on my shoulder) but he let go immediately as soon as he noticed he was biting something with a bigger mouth :D . He bit me another time when he was trying to get food off my finger. Bandit is the most friendly beardie ever...I just notice that his 'aim' isnt always the best. Pure accident, I dont think agression would increase unless your beardie was all puffed out and black bearded while doing it.

Your right, the bits dont hurt much...but they sure do have a good grip!

Thanks everyone! :D She is a normally well behaved beardie, and she wasn't all puffed out or anything. Purely accidental, I guess!

My beardie bit me once too! I was feeding him a mealworm (I dont feed them now) and I was hand feeding him then he licked my fingers and I was about to close the tank when he bit me lol it was quite funny so I shut the tank and washed my hands thats about it

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
