My Beardie Acting Strange?

Peridot has been my Bearded Dragon since it was a young juvenile (not quite a hatchling) since November of 2016. That being said, I've come to know it (unsure of gender) well. Lately, Peridot has been sleeping almost all day, rubbing its face against rocks, or its climbing log, and has hidden inside it's cave (which it NEVER does). Do I have reason to concern? or is this normal?

I'm really sorry to hear that your baby is acting strange. Has she been acting any better the past few days? Has Peridot been eating normally? How are the temperatures in the viv? Has anything changed recently?

Everything is as it usually is- the only difference is the location of the terrarium, which i placed by a (covered) window sill so she could get more light- however, she has been acting strangely even before i moved it. There is a little bit of shedding on the face...could it be a normal thing? Her whole body isn't shedding, just her face...I've also been handling her more, as she's always been a little aggressive towards me (trying to tame her a little)

Have you tried giving her a warm Bath? Could it be possible that he is dehydrated? The shedding can make them a little act a little strange!

Yes i tried a warm bath, but she refused it...she is small but mighty. I managed to let her soak for a few seconds before she tried to jump off the sink...Thank you so much for your input!

Hm, Is it possible that your little one is a female? We were convinced our sweet girl was really sick for a while, and then we came home to like 16 eggs in her enclosure, and she was skinny, but her personality was back. Has he/she been eating more than normal? Or gained any weight? I really hope that she gets better, but as long as she is eating and pooping normally, then I wouldn't worry a ton about it, they have all of their own ways of acting about certain things.

Do you take her outside? Or ever let her out of her enclosure?
Both of our girls will get a little sad sometimes, but usually a nice warm bath (I know yours doesn't like them, but ours seem to love them) or taking them outside in the summer usually helps perk up their moral. They all like different things, but you can always start trying stuff to perk your little guy up!


I would like to add that I am in no way an expert, I am still learning as I go with our 2 girls, so I am just trying to think of as many things as possible to help you with your Beardie, I know how much these guys grow on ya, and it's terrible to see some one worried about them!
