My bearded dragon is stinking up my room

I'm not sure if it's the pellots i feed her but ever since i got her my room stinks! i spot clean her tank every day and every time she poops i take it out immediatly. My friend also has a bearded dragon but his doesn't smell bad at all and he barely ever cleans it's tank! what's causing this smell, it smells like potatos and i know it's not my snakes as i've had them months before i got my BD and my room never smelled like anything but aspen bedding.

She might have parasites. I would get a fecal done.

I took in a rescue that was housed on the carpet. It took me 2 weeks to get the smell off him, even though I removed the carpet and put down newspaper immediately. My dragons are housed on tile, and it never smells.

Take her to a vet for a fecal. Parasites will clear a room. Also, if she is housed on sand, that can also make the smell worse.

A fecal test is probably in order. Leaving a dish of greens might smell better than the pellets, too.

I was experiencing the smell too. It's probably the pellets if you say it smells like potatoes. If it was the poo, it'd smell like, well, poo.

I'd suggest getting her tested for parasites as well - is the smell pretty bad? You say it smells like potatoes, have you tried changing foods?

I put the pellots on his salad, and the pellots do indeed smell like potatos i'll try switching food.

I agree with the fecal. Rosie's poop does not smell great but it is not too bad. I don't know about pellets I have never fed them. Rosie gets fresh greens and live feeders.
