My bearded dragon doesn't move in the morning

I have had my 2-3 month old beardie for 3 days now and every morning he never moves towards his heat and uvb bulb. Every night he sleeps on the opposite side of the tank than the lights. He wakes up around 7ish, then I turn on his lights. Every day 1 hour goes by then I move him onto the light and there are no problems through the rest of the day, until next morning and the cycle repeats.

It's common for them to be a bit grumpy or lazy in the morning. I suggest putting the lights on a timer and setting them to come on an hour or so before you get up so he has time to warm up and de-grump a bit in the morning. Otherwise I'd just be patient and let him be. Maybe try to entice him with some nice breakfast bugs.

mine does the same- its just because they are cold blooded and need some time to warm up. mine takes about 30 mins. this is normal behavior and you shouldn't be concerned
