So I am new new bearded dragon owner, my dragon is about 2 months old and has been eating really well, he even likes his greens! I put calcium on all of his crickets and I believe I have the proper set up, but every time he sees something he wants to eat (Like a cricket) his head shakes rapidly! He has no issue with aiming for his food, and he walks around perfectly fine, but to me his head shaking this fast doesn’t seem normally... I was wondering if this was normal?

Hello,

Yes, most of the time when they are going after their food & get excited, their head can shake
rapidly like that.
You do have a good UVB light for him, correct? Just making sure.

I believe I do, The light set up that I have has been recogmended by many breeders, and my local reptile shop, they’ve always used the lighting that I have, so I’m pretty confident in it.
It’s nice to know that what my beardy is doing is natural!

Hello,

Ok, just making sure. If it shakes all of the time then that wouldn't be normal. A lot of them when
they get excited before eating, that can happen.
We recommend the Reptisun 10T5 or the Arcadiai D3 12% or 14% T5 tubes more than any other
light. A lot still use the T8 tubes from those companies because they are good bulbs, just not quite
as strong.
Let us know if you have more questions.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
