Straight to the point. My 3 month old baby is soooo weak right now and every now and then, she will sort of spasm and open her eyes. A few days ago, she stopped eating and became very lethargic. I narrowed it down to the fact that I switched her from small crickets to small superworms. She ate the worms for the first day or two, but then stopped. The past few days, she would sit there with her eyes closed, but standing on all fours. She would move every now and then and stay there with her eyes closed. I came home today from work to see almost lifeless, limp when I picked her up and sooo skinny looking. God, I feel so horrible for this incident and I will NOT give up until I can do no more. What I really want to know is does she have a chance since I force fed her 5 crickets earlier and she seemed to swallow them after the 3rd one? She even sort of chewed the last one. It's just the spasming that scares me. And her front arms seem to be paralized. Most likely because she is so weak. Please help me and Akira.

I'm not sure what to do, but I really hope your baby is okay :( What brand is the UVB? Has she pooped since you fed her the supers?

I would tell you to give her a warm bath and massage her tummy (in case she couldn't digest the wormies) but I'm not sure in this condition.

I wouldn't force feed her any more hard foods. If anything, babyfood squash and turkey/chicken mixed together is a much better meal for her condition.

She has been under Reptisun 10.0 since I had her and yes, she has pooped today. I gave her a bath when I got home but she kept spasming while in the water and dunking her head in the water so I took her out. I am more than willing to try the baby food, but I am afraid in the time that it takes me to go to the store and get some, she might either hurt herself from spasming wildly or the worst. I might just hurry and go get some. Would this help her any?

She needs to eat, I am worried that she might be impacted still, superworms are a little too hard for one that young. What are the temps in the tank? It might need to be warmer for her to digest.

Hoping someone else pops in with more knowledge, just going by what I had done.

I was thinking on the lines of impaction too. Her temps haven't been right but I now have her sitting under her light at around 110. This is another thing I feel ashamed of.

Do you have any veggie oil/applesauce on hand? You can mix those together and its like a natural laxative. Maybe if she will eat a little of that... ?

I am pretty sure we have vegetable oil but I am not sure about applesauce. My brother might have some, but she most likely will not eat it on her own.

Is there an easy way to tell if she is still alive? Heartbeat position underneath? I fear she may has passed on, but I want to make absolutely sure.

She keeps on opening her mouth, but I don't know if that she is gone and that is just reflexes or if she is still alive.

At this point, you can check for a heartbeat, but making her as comfortable as possible would be the best thing. :(

If she is passing, some goodbye cuddles... ya know?

If all her temps and lighting are proper, I would get some critical care, mix it up according to the directions and syringe feed the poor dragon. Even make a slurry of veggies and crickets..add greens to a blender with some crickets, add a bit of calcium and water and blend it till is liquid and syringe feed her. Also try taking her out in sunshine for some natural light. I highly recommend a vet see your baby. Apple sauce unsweetened with a drop or two of olive oil or veggie oil, baby food prunes and syringe feed her. Thats all I know to do.

I am 95% positive she is gone now. She more lifeless than ever and what heartbeat I did see early today, I see nothing. I just gave her a kiss goodbye while balling my eyes out, just can't stop thinking this is all my fault. My poor little girl suffered because of me and I will never forgive myself for this.

I am very very sorry to hear about Akira. You were a very good mommy to her, and it's obvious that you cared about her and loved her a bunch. And I just KNOW that she knew this too. You did everything you could- it was just too late for her.

You will always have the memories that you two have shared, and she will always have a place in your heart.

In time, maybe you will find it in your heart to bring another little one into your home. Until then, we are all here for you.

*hugs*

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
