My baby beardie is a nutcase!

Good evening all,
So I've had my baby beardie Puff for about two months, and he is about to turn three months old on the 25th of August. Recently while I have been holding him, I'll set him down on my bed, and before I know it, he's running and jumping off the edge, running all over the floor of my room to prevent me from catching him. I've been trying to hold him at least twice a day, I'll start by holding him in my hands and then setting him down (which is when he goes nuts). He has been very tempermental recently too. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Try just sitting in front of his tank talking to him for a while a few times a day. You can also try putting in a shirt that smells like you into the tank to associate your smell with comfort and warmth. Hopefully after a while Puff will realize you're not a big scary monster that's out to eat him

He has calmed down a lot since his new tank. I think it was just relocation stress. Now he will squirm and run a little bit before I pick him up, but once hes in my hand or on my shirt, he just hangs out. Thank God I broke the wild streak in him! Or at least temporarily. Haha,

When Brock was just a couple months old, I didn't even try to hold him outside of his tank. He was the squirmiest, jumpiest little bearded dragon I knew of. After about a month of that behavior, he has completely mellowed out. He is still my feisty one out of my two, but he lets me old him and pick him up with no problems. Consistency is your best bet.
One other thing: baths. After every bath, which I did weekly, Brock would be more docile for a few days. I'm not sure why but those always helped.
