My baby beardie doesn't like being picked up

My baby bearded dragon I think is about 2-3 months old. I've had him for a little over two weeks now and I haven't been trying to hold him much, just putting my hand in to get used to me. He lets me get close to him when feeding, but anytime I try and pick him up he flips out. I know it takes time for them to get use to you, but I need to get him out from time to time to soak him and clean his cage. Just wondering what the best way of going about it is. Thanks

When you pick them up you need to support their entire body or they will flip out.

I support his whole body when I've got him but he is still constantly trying to get away from. I just don't want to stress him out too much

This is normal behavior, he is wanting to explore. They are very curious creatures.
