I have had my Paco girl for about 3 years now. The previous owners had her for about 4 years before hand. From the start she was special.

Recently, she has stopped eating, I have been force feeding her to try to get some sort of nutrients in, and bathing her for hydration. Today, she has started to not use her front leg. She's not impacted, her belly is clear upon feeling, and she does poop (ever so little). Tonight, I noticed a slight streak of what looks like blood in her poop, as it has been liquidy, this one seems almost like diarrhea.

She is in an appropriate tank, with temps in good range (I've been keeping her tank a bit warmer...) a brand new UVB, just in case the one that was in there had gone bad, and smooth top shelf liner substrate.

I will be calling the vet tomorrow, though I fear that it is too late for my Paco girl.

Hello,

Gosh, I am so sorry! Definitely get her in for a vet visit. I would recommend a blood test to see how her kidneys & liver are doing.
Can she still move her limbs but just doesn't want to?
Is there any swelling at all?
How often do you give calcium for her?
Has she ever laid eggs?
At 7, she should still have some years left. If it is renal or liver there are things you can do to help the organs out.
Let us know how she is doing.

Thanks Tracie,

I make a 'salad dressing' for her, using calcium and fresh coconut water, as she has laid eggs in the past, however, I do not feel any eggs at this time. Since she has not been eating her salads, I do add a bit to the food I force feed her. I've been giving her Reptiboost & babyfood, alternating each time I feed her. The most she's eaten is about 1 & 1/2 ml. When she does try to lick her lips or go after the tip of the syringe, her tongue seems to spasm out.

She can move her other limbs, and will move around, she drags her front left leg around where ever she goes. She does seem lethargic, been thinking that is because of the lack of nutrition. At this time, there does not seem to be any swelling.

I will let you know what happens....

Hello,

It sounds like you are giving her plenty of calcium & fluids. Perhaps she just isn't taking in enough then. Is she losing weight?
Which calcium do you use?
Remind me which UVB you are using for her also?
I will be thinking of you & Paco. Let us know how things go at the vets.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
