My 280lb boyfriend is scared of my lil beardie...funniest th

my boyfriend came to visit me one weekend, he lives in nashville tn 8hrs away from me. and i wanted to show him how big spike had gotten, so i put him on his chest, lol zack, then puffed his chest as far away from his face as he could. he got all scared, and the color in his face left, and he quickly began saying "get him off of me, get this thing off of me!" lol when i put spike back in his cage, i asked him why he was so scared, and he said their like snakes with legs, and then i told him that he couldnt bite him if he wanted to... but didnt believe me, he kept sayn "im pretty sure they can, and they have poisen, that can kill you" and i asked him where he got that from, and he told me that they look like the lizards off of the movie "HOLES". you kno the yellow spotted lizards that kill you if you get bit... i have never laughed so hard in my life, my boyfriends 19 and took 2nd in state wrestling, and he was so afraid of a lil harmless lizard.

I've seen the movie 'Holes'. It was a good movie. I also remember reading on line somewhere about the movie. The people that made it said they had to do some computer generating on the beardies because all they did was sit there. So, just tell him that all the things of the 'beardies biting people' were computer generated because they are sooo lazy they don't do much other than bask and run.

That is hilarious! My kids saw Holes but they never told me anything about the lizard...I'm surprised! I can't imagine my Samson attacking anybody. I was outside with him one afternoon and my neighbor came out with her little dog. Well the little dog wanted to see Samson and kept sniffing him. My neighbor started freaking out and kept saying that Samson was going to attack her dog and bite him. Hello, Samson is not all that big yet! How could he possible attack the dog. My poor baby was terrified of the dog. Plus it's true about the lazy lizard thing. Samson is one lazy lizard and very passive. The only time he has ever freaked out on me and hissed was when my daughter put our guinea pig in front of him. Can you blame him though...the guinea pig has tried to bite his tail one too many times. Oh and she's like twice his size...must look like a giant rodent to Samson!!

This is what my neighbor thought was going to kill her dog!! Seriously!!!

Oh, they CAN bite, alright. But.... beardies are so sweet and cute, and....well you know! LOL Basking is better than biting. Bubba took a roach from OFF my finger. I mean he grabbed it hard! Poor Roach! She was a goner> I felt alot of pressure, but no pain at all. His upper jaw was on one side of my finger, and the bottom jaw was on the other side of the finger. He wanted the roach, and that is what he got. They are so good at calculating where to go and how hard to hit the target. They are truly amazing. I feed mine by hand all the time. They never bite me, just the poooooor, poooooor feeder.
