MVB Bulbs

Right now I have a 10.0 reptisun fluorescent tube for both tanks and I heard that MVB might be better?

What brands of MVB are best for Beardies? Also, do they burn out or do they really last a year until you have to change it? Are they really better than 10.0?

MVB is not going to be better by any means. But in a recent thread i was informed people use them successfully with no problems. I was currently under the impression you didnt want to use them. If you already have the reptisun and dont actually have a reason, like to save space or somthing i would keep it. Reptisun 10.0 or arcadia 12% tube are the top recomendations.

Yeah I would just stick with it. I know the PowerSun is a good brand, I looked into them because I have a 75gal tank that is 24 inches tall that Spyro will be moving into soon, so in order to get the Reptisun 10.0 within 6-8 inches I would have to do some adjusting with mounting, and the PowerSun works within 12 inches so it can be a better choice with a taller tank, but I am sticking with my Reptisun 10.0 tube at least until the 6 month life is up on it.

My viv is 24 wide 54 long and 32 tall. (inches) u can do what I did and do a faux walk insert for the entire viv. Whole viv integrated onto a fake rock wall.

The PowerSun and the Mega Ray are the only 2 MVB's that are proven to be good, the Solar Glo and other's are bad.
I use a Powersun 100W and a Reptisun 10.0 24 inch in my Enclosure tho.
But many people use the Powersun's with great success.
