Mustard Greens always get ruined!

I have given my 7 month old girl collard greens, dandelion greens, and mustard greens, but she likes the msutard greens the best.
The problem is, they always go bad within 4 days! The moisture make the mustard greens really gooey and gives off a really bad smell.
I keep them in an airtight container in the fridge, but it does no good.
Can some one please give any type of advice?
Could I freeze them?

It's driving me crazy.

Here is something many use. Get those "green" veggie bags, and your mustards will keep for 2 weeks. Also, do you purchase the whole, and tear it up later ? Or do you purchase the already torn ones ? I have noticed that mustards are not as hardy keeping due to the fact they aren't as fleshy as collards.

I go thru the same thing with mustard greens. I trim the end off the stem and keep them in a cup of water in the fridge till i use the leaf. I get about a week out of it but I rarely have them that long.

Ooooh "green" veggie bags, I will have to try that! I think I am going to go back to collard greens, but she likes mustards SO MUCH!

You can also try adding some paper towel to the bag (making sure all air is out of the bag after opening). this helps me keep m ine fresher longer.

I'd just like to second the "green bag" idea. I love love love mine. I bought some mustard greens and they've been in perfect condition for 2 weeks now, and I even tore them up into little bits before putting them in the bag (usually they spoil faster when you do that)

I have been the market, including Target and WalMart and cannot find them in the storage isle.
What brand are they? What do they look like? What is special about them?
As soon as I get a reply I'm going to go buy some!

We haven't had any luck with keeping ours in water. It seems to deteriorate them faster than normal. What we have started doing is chopping them up (smaller chops for the itty bittys and regular size for the bigguns), wrap them in a paper towels and put them in a ziplock baggie. So far the longest they have lasted this way is 8 days. No yellowing and no pungent smell.
