I have mozzie he's about 4 months now and thriving very very well :) took him for a 5 second car ride today. But my friend just sent me an add for a free with everything terrarium, lights, foods, healthy looking 1.5 year old. If I were thinking of getting a second is that too big of an age gap? Do beardies really like fellow dragons?

You can have multiple of them in separate enclosures, but it is NOT advised that you keep them together. Especially if they are both males. Bearded dragons are not social animals, and they are very territorial. If you keep them in the same enclosure, one or the other will almost definitely bully the other, stressing it out, stealing basking spots, stealing food, and many other things. Its even highly likely that they will fight. Many beardies have lost limbs and life due to being housed with another beardie.
The only bearded dragons that can be housed together are two females, about the same size, and with really good temperament. This should ONLY be done by professional Beardie owners and constant supervision IMO, though.

Hi. That older beardie will look at your baby and think " LUNCH". You definitely need to keep them separated forever.

No, beardies really DONT like fellow dragons. There is always a dominant one and the submissive ones suffer because of it.

No no they wouldn't be living together they'd both have their own homes. But would they maybe enjoy being out At the same time together

Thanks. That's all I wanted to know that they don't like others.

You can try having them out at the same time, but you still need to monitor them to make sure that they don't get at each other. Try to make sure that they can't see each other in their tanks, either, as that can sometimes stress them. They could get along, but again, they may still attack each other, or, if one is female and the other is male, they may try to mate.

I have a girl and a newly rescued boy. They have separate homes and a towel put between the 2 so they can't see each other. She doesn't mind him, but if he sees her, he goes nuts with the head bobbing and trying to get at her. I have *slowly* started taking him out and holding him by her house. When he starts squirming, I take him away from her view. We do this a few times a week. I have not introduced them together for fear of an attack. My female is a sweetie and I really don't want her under stress. She is very chill, he is very not chill. LOL.

At feeding time, I lift their lids and feed them separate in their own home. Cleaning and bath is all done separate.

Not a good idea to have 2 beardies out together at any time unless you are monitoring them constantly and can step in and separate them immediately if need be.

I never let any of my beardies out together.

I do let a beardie and bluetongue skink out together, this seems to work out OK.

Dont mean to derail, but how do they act with each other? Whats the size difference in a BTS and a BD? Are BTS typically territorial with each other? I bet thats a sight to see.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
